The Cadillac XT4 is a small luxury SUV. It has a sporty exterior design and a surprisingly spacious interior with an abundance of standard features. For the 2023 model year, the XT4 gains some new standard safety features and two new exterior colors are now available — Radiant Red Tintcoat and Argent Silver Metallic. Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Luxury trim comes with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, and LED taillights. Stepping up to the Premium Luxury adds a hands-free liftgate, power-folding side exterior mirrors, an auto-dimming driver's side mirror, roof rails, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Choose the Sport for a gloss black grille, cornering lights, and body-colored exterior trim elements. The Sport offers 20-inch wheels as an option, along with a sport-tuned suspension. A sunroof is optional for most trim levels.
Engine (Power)
Power for the XT4 comes from a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 237 horsepower and generates 258 pound-feet of torque. It works with a nine-speed automatic transmission that will help to propel the XT4 up to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds. This crossover comes standard with front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive is optional for any of the trim levels.
Performance
The 2.0-liter turbo engine has plenty of power for the small XT4, and its compact size makes it easy to maneuver around town. The Sport's Active Sport Suspension helps to smooth out the ride even more than the regular suspension. When equipped with front-wheel drive, you can get up to 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. If you add the tow package, you can even pull up to 2,500 pounds with this small SUV.
Interior
Inside, there are two rows of seats and room for up to five in the XT4. Behind the seats, you'll find a 22.5 cubic foot cargo area. The entry-level Luxury trim comes with power-adjustable front seats and simulated leather upholstery, with leather added to the Premium Luxury and up. Massaging and ventilated front seats are optional, and you can also get a power-adjustable steering wheel.
Technology features in the XT4 start with an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite and HD radio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a seven-speaker stereo. Two USB ports come standard, along with Bluetooth and voice recognition. Wireless charging is available for the Premium Luxury.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Cadillac XT4 comes with several advanced driver safety aids. These include a forward collision warning system, automatic braking, a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Driver Awareness Package adds a following distance indicator, lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.
The Premium Luxury adds front and rear parking sensors and makes the Driver Awareness Package standard. It also offers the Driver Assistance Package with adaptive cruise control and reverse emergency braking. The optional Enhanced Visibility Package for the Premium Luxury comes with rear pedestrian alert, a digital rearview mirror, automatic parking assist, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
