This limited warranty does not apply to the cost of regular maintenance, or any damage caused by the use of unauthorized parts or accidents. more Powertrain Limited Warranty The powertrain consists of your engine, transmission, and drivetrain. It also applies to your transaxle and the transaxle case if your Cadillac has one. Warranty duration applies for six years or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The full list of covered components is included in your warranty booklet. These components include the engine block, cylinder heads, seals and gaskets, all internal transmission components, and the propeller and axle shafts. Certain components are not covered by this warranty, including the sensors, coolant, radiator, and wiring. Rust-Through Protection Rust can quickly cause devastating damage to almost any metal. Rust-through is rust that forms a hole through a section of the body or sheet metal. In the unlikely event of rust-through on your Cadillac, the affected metal section or sections will be removed and replaced at no charge. This protection applies for six years or 100,000 miles. Federal Emission Control System Warranty Your Cadillac is built to meet Federal standards for emissions, and this warranty protects all systems and components related to emissions control against any unforeseen issues in their manufacture. Most components are covered for two years or 24,000 miles. Certain components, like the catalytic converter, the engine control module, and the transmission control module, have extended protection that lasts for eight years or 80,000 miles.
