Trail bikers take heart. You’ll fall in love with these beautiful biking paths near and dear to Chandler, AZ.

1. Consolidated Canal

The waterway known as the Consolidated Canal stretches 18 miles. A multi-use trail runs the entire distance, from Chandler to Mesa. Bicyclists love trekking this terrain and enjoying the aquatic scenery. Much of the canal trails, like the Paseo Trail that runs over six miles, is paved and a great option for casual cyclists. One side of the canal, though, is mainly dirt and gravel and can offer a more rustic ride for horse back riders and cyclists.

2. Germann and Dobson Road Lanes

Bikers don’t have to leave Chandler’s city limits to find a great experience. The city has invested heavily In creating bike lanes for its streets and roadways…100 miles worth of lanes, to be exact. These paths are well-regarded statewide and a jewel of the Phoenix metro area, and several destinations have become favorite regular haunts of bikers.

Germann Road and Dobson School Road, in particular, offer up a great scenic tour of the city. McQueen Drive is another frequented hot spot.

3. Grand Canal Path

Asphalt and concrete comprise this 28-mile-plus path that runs through Maricopa County. Horseback riders, hikers, bikers, and even inline skaters have found a home away from home on this incredible stretch of nature. The Grand Canal Linear Park in Glendale has an especially popular three-and-a-half expanse of trail that is well-maintained and immaculately landscaped.

Via the park trails, you can access nearby State Farm Stadium and Glendale Heroes Regional Park.

4. Dreamy Draw Bikeway

Mountain bikers can rejoice at this jewel of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. If you want to spot amazing wildlife and botanical wonders, this adventurous and rugged recreation area is your dreamland.

Along the 131-mile trajectory, you’ll venture through urban sprawls, hilly green landscapes, and a breathtaking adventure into the Sonoran Desert.
