The 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV is the extended cab version, or Escalade Stretch Vehicle, of the flagship Escalade SUV. With a longer wheelbase, more trunk cargo space, and more passenger space throughout the cabin, and with all the same features and selling points of the regular cab Escalade, there’s a lot to love about the ESV. Keep reading to learn more about why you should consider a 2023 Escalade ESV as your next new vehicle.

Basics About the 2023 Cadillac Escalade ESV

The ESV is offered across all six trim levels of the Escalade and offers the same sets of features. The only notable difference is that the regular Escalade has a slightly higher maximum towing capacity, depending on installed features and drivetrain. The regular cab Escalade offers a maximum towing capacity of 8,200 pounds in 2WD and 8,000 in 4WD, while the ESV offers maximums of 8,100 pounds in 2WD and 7,900 pounds in 4WD.

However, you’ll find that the added cargo space of the ESV means that you can likely carry more with you without having to tow it, more than making up for the 100-pound difference between body types.

What’s New for 2023?

The major change for 2023 is the addition of the Escalade V trim level, which is powered by a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that can produce up to 682 horsepower. The V also comes with a unique blacked-out interior and exterior styling, a sports-tuned air suspension system, and AWD.

3 Features to Ask Your Cadillac Dealer About

Additional Interior Space

Most of the extra space that the ESV has goes towards the third row, creating more head and legroom, while also expanding the cargo space in the trunk. The cargo space in the trunk is 42.9 cubic feet, and that can be expanded up to 126.6 cubic feet when all the seats are folded down within the cabin.

Robust Safety Offerings

The 2023 ESV comes full of features designed to both reduce the risk of a collision and protect you and your passengers if one does occur. Automatic emergency braking and front and rear pedestrian detection come standard, as do lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist features. Other features, like rear parking alerts and a 360-degree view camera, can help you navigate tight spaces and parking lots.

Modern Tech in the Cabin

The interior of the Escalade is dominated by three separate curved screens in the dashboard that creates a 38-inch digital display seamless display between your infotainment center and the digital instrument display. A WiFi hotspot comes standard, as does an augmented-reality navigation system built into the infotainment center.

Available options of note include two 12.6-inch touchscreens for the second row with streaming capabilities and various upgrades to the sound system from AKG Studios, including 19- and 36-speaker setups.
